I've got to decide what to do with an SE/30 that doesn't work anymore
because it needs a capacitor (or some soldering on the board, perhaps).
It has an XCeed Grey Scale adapter and it has extra RAM with the
software fix that was available at the time and "dirty ROM" or
something like that.
I can no longer find the long "cracker" to get the shell open, so I
can't give you a picture of the inside.
I was running a separate color monitor from it on the adapter and
something else you put inside to make it work with an external monitor.
Anyway, I suppose some collector would be interested in cannibalizing
it for the parts.
Since the adapter is apparently rare, I'd like to sell the computer to
someone who could use it.
Otherwise it's going in the recycling. I need the space.
I've seen whole SE/30s going for up to $700 tricked out like this
one. Of course, this one doesn't work anymore.
Drop me a note of give me a call and let me see if I can get this into
the hands of someone who will value it for the XCeed Grey Scale
adapter and other stuff in there.
Thanks,
Dan Brown
