Hey all,

I happened to be in the right place and the right time, and found an
original Mac 128k in great shape on Craigslist. Unfortunately, the
screen doesn't work. I can power it on, but it makes the mac bong, and
it sounds like a crt is turning on, but nothing comes on the screen.
There is a red light on on the inside.

This is my very first time having my hands on a compact mac since I
played with a Mac Classic when I was five years old, so I might not be
getting my terminology right. Do you think I'll have to replace a
resistor or something? Is this doable for someone with no previous
soldering experience/knowledge, but a willingness to learn? I went
ahead and grabbed a copy of "Dead Mac Scrolls", since that seemed to
be consistently recommended.

Any advice you have is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dylan
