Check connectors J1, J2 and J4 on the Analog board: it's best to re-solder
them after removing the old solder. 
Especially the J1 connector between the Analog board and the Yoke is prone
to failure.

The red light you see is the floppy disk sensor: this is normal.

I hope your Mac isn't broken during shipment. The bulb on the neck of the
CRT is fragile and can break off or crack after a heavy bump.
