Hi Gregg,

Yes!!! I hadn't even thought of Basilisk - I don't really ever use 
emulators so it didn't come to mind. I shall try exactly that (rather than 
RAWRITE command). Now I've got to find myself:

a) a floppy disk (eBay shall be my friend)

b) and also work out if the computer can install anything on (the only Dell 
I have with a floppy disk is a university computer and I don't think I've 
got admin privileges on it so can't install anything on there. I'll have to 
kindly find a nice sysadmins who is willing to bend a few rules for me).

Thanks for all your help. If anybody else has any tidbits or some they'd 
like me to think about then just pop it all down :)
