It's best to see what's necessary before >"shotgunning" a refurb. I agree with assessing the condition of the rest of the machine but simply washing the board is masking a problem. I just don't want anyone here to think that washing the logic board will be a magic cure for what ails it. For me, I will usually "shotgun" it with the $4 or so in capacitors to recap a logic board that shows any symptoms of cap failure. I'll tell you, that's a lot of them ( http://www.applefool.com ).
