Greetings. I have a Mac IIci that previously would not boot, and if I used an ATX power supply to get it running it had no sound. I recapped it earlier this evening and now it starts up fine from the power switch and keyboard and the sound works great, however when I try to shut it down it takes me to the "It's now safe to switch off your Macintosh" screen instead of powering off. I don't recall there being an enabler or anything that controlled this functionality, but the hard disk I grabbed is an extremely stripped down 7.0.1 install from an LC, so suppose that might be the issue.
I don't remember how these were supposed to work, but I also cannot power the Mac off by pressing the power button a second time. I assume I have messed up in the recapping process, but was wondering if someone could offer a suggestion of what specific component or capacitor I should double check. I may have damaged a trace, I suppose. It could also be an issue in the power supply, I guess. I did find this schematic of the IIci startup circuit but I can't decipher where the "stop being on" signal might come from: http://home.earthlink.net/~gamba2/images/macIIcisch.GIF Thanks for any suggestions.
