I have similar issues with my IIci. If the temperature is too cold it will not power up from the keyboard or the power button on the back. It works mostly at room temp unless the AC power has been disconnected for a time, then it will repower itself every time it shuts off (either power switch or through Shutdown) after a couple seconds until it "warms up" for a few minutes... then it operates normally.
