Find a 650.rom, mildly better, there's not much wrong with a si or ci either, no OS8.x though. The 950 is said to be the worst rom to run.
[most of the time anyways]. I don't suppose anyone here would have a direct download link to binaries for Debian would they? I mean not just links to packages, but say in the PC world, like a link to an ISO, or an EXE , or zip/rar/ace...etc...Something to save on having to download lots of individual files to save time, etc. bleh.
http://www.debian.org/CD/http-ftp/ find a server close to you and get the iso's from there.
A waste of space as you can install the operating system over a internet connection. You will not wont most of the packages there so a network install saves time. Out of almost 9000 packages you'll only require a small amount.
Read the docs before starting http://www.debian.org/ its not the same as shoving a cd in and pressing the 'ok' button. Just partitioning the drive takes time and a bit of reading. Also consider NetBSD while your reading.
