I'm having trouble with mine. I think the main problem is that I don't know
what the heck I'm doing with it at the moment. Trying to send an Email to
myself as a test, when typing my Email address in the "to" field, I get
gibberish, so I delete it using the onscreen keyboard. Also figuring out
how to delete from within the inbox. I think that what I need is a list of
commands for the braille display when using firmware 8.1.2 on an iPhone 5.
The firmware of the braille display is 4.57 if that matters. Any thoughts
on where to get such a list are appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Don,
The focus 40 Classic works great with the ipHone. All the iOS commands are
supported, and the Bluetooth conenction is very stable. Go for it.
Best,
Anna

I have the original Focus 40 blue, the one with the whiz wheels and want
to learn to use it with my 4S. I am writing in the hope that someone will
post a capsule synopsis of the pros and cons of using the Focus 40 with an
IOS device. I seem to recall reading that other braille displays support
more of the IOS command set than the Focus, I hope to learn its strengths
and its weaknesses. I did find a podcast from Freedom Scientific, but I
didn't find it particularly comprehensive.
Thanks in advance for feedback.
