I will add my comment in this thread. Yes, definitely, in IOS 8.2 this is a
problem for me, with and without an external keyboard. I’ve always found it a
little challenging to get information into, say, multiple parts of an address
field, but the problem now is pronounced and it is very difficult to complete a
new record. These are the issues

* Moving between street, city, state and zip fields is imprecise and
very difficult, requiring much moving back and forth.

* Data entered into fields does not display even though it is present.
Later I can go back to a field in which I thought nothing was entered and I’ve
entered data more thanonce.

* If I inadvertently hit tht tab key from within an edit field, the tab
character will be entered repeatedly until I can somehow stop it, usually by
pressing the home button to exit the screen altogether.

* All of these things, except the item immediately above, have occurred
both while using the on screen keyboard and an external keyboard.

Subject: Trouble adding phone contacts on iPhone 6 with iOS 8.2

Wow! I just tried this and failed miserably. I tried with two different
external keyboards, the apple and the Logitech 811. I also tried with the
on-screen keyboard. I would enter text and all of a sudden something strange
would happen and not always the same thing. Sometimes additional numbers would
be added to the phone number. Or, I would get taken to the very last field of
the contact entry and have to go back to where I was.

Is anyone experiencing this. This used to be so easy, but I haven’t done it for
a while and I don’t know in what iOS I would have started having trouble. I am
using the least advanced typing mode where one has to double tap each key just
to make sure I am doing it right.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks.

Neal
