look in your list of tones in iTunes and be sure you do not have any "gw..."
files. this is how iTunes names files its not sure of.

Thanks so much for all this information. It was most helpful. I did have
to go and turn off hidden file types as I'm using windows 7, and thought I
had the problem solved after that. I was able to rename the file and it
went into the proper tones folder in iTunes, but when I went to sync the
ring tone, it would not sync to the phone. I tried several times but it did
not work. Any thoughts? I have an iPhone 6 and I am using the latest
version of Itunes with all the changes to apple music.
