I would agree with that, but as far as you should wait to update until 2017 depends entirely on how well your iPhone 5S works, how long the battery lasts after several years of usage and also for me it would depend on what Apple is coming up with this fall. Tim Cook apparently said that this fall there will be features or hardware we won't want to live without so who knows. My guess is that it will be more hardware related since most features will be software related and we'll hear about those tomorrow in a week when iOS 10 is introduced. Of course there maybe things that depend on the new hardware which they won't reveal on June 13. So, Harry, just wait and see what this year's iPhone will offer and then decide.
