i was late getting on this thread. You can delete all your pictures using Windows explorer. That is the one place you can avoid iTunes. When you plug in your USB cable, wait a little while, 10 or 20 seconds to make sure your computer sees the iDevice. Launch windows explorer. Navigate to the iDevice. Select the drive and hit enter. Keep selecting folders and hitting enter until you get to a folder that contains image files. Hit backspace to go back to that folder name. There may be lots of folders at that level as Apple seems to create separate folders for different groups of pictures. You might check a couple other folders at that level to confirm they have images in them. But, if you are sure you want to take them all off your iDevice, hit control-a, and control-x and go to a folder on your computer and paste all those subfolders where you can go back to them, or, just hit delete and get rid of them. Just like that, you have no pictures on your device. HTH, Richard

If installing iTunes is the only, or the best, solution, then I can do that; but it seems like overkill just to transfer a bunch of pictures.
