I don’t think it would be a good idea to talk somebody such as the person you describe into buying anything. You can tell her what she can do with these devices and encourage her to maybe go to an Apple Store and try out an iPad or iPhone but I’d hate to talk somebody into buying such an expensive device only so they can find out they can’t use it.
