For one thing, I've never really thought of it as tapping to activate the index; I just touch in the right place and it's there but I suppose it really is a tap and I just hadn't considered it. But I have no problem with this with either my 4S or my5 as I can easily move through the alphabet in the index. . However, I also don't get anything called an action rotor. In fact, while I can delete just fine in mail, I don't think I've come across anything that says "action" when I do the rotor motion anywhere. It isn't causing a problem for me but I'm wondering why I am not seeing what several people keep mentioning in various places on their phones. -- Cheryl
