And even if you access your Apple account from a PC you can choose to “trust” the PC or browser the first time you use it and afterwards it will not ask for 2-factor authentication on that computer/browser combination. A lot of people hate 2-factor authentication, but as Anna said, it’s definitely the way to go with respect to security in today’s world of ransomware attacks and such.
