Hello Sieghard,

I have just received an e-mail and read it in the usual way. As far as I can
tell there is nothing special or peculiar about this message.

Having read it, I exit the message as usual, so I’m back in my inbox.

Now, if I exit the mail app via Task Switcher and relaunch the mail app I am
back in the message I was previously reading.

As Richard suggested, I go to my home page then bring up Task Switcher, then
quit mail, at next launch I’m back in the message.

This behaviour persists even if I restart my iPhone.

Strangely if I leave it for a while around 7 hours normal behaviour is restored.

I have experienced this no matter what folder a message resides in. The other
day I went into my sent messages folder and even though I then switched back to
my inbox and read other messages I received, on launching the mail app the sent
message was opened for me.

Rather strange.
