trangely enough, I just forwarded the offending message to one of my other accounts. Opening it from the other inbox as a forwarded message all works as expected. So I cannot forward the message to anyone to see if they can replicate my findings.
I’m not on the beta list so I don’t know if any such issue was discussed there. I will contact Apple out of interest and thanks to you both for your replies and efforts.
