Well, IMHO, I think it's a bit more of a toy and a bit more useful then just for children. The beginning of the pandemic showed that people don't know that you need to wash your hands for 20 to 30 seconds or what 20 to 30 seconds feels like when you're just standing there doing something tedious like washing your hands, where time is going to feel like it's slowing down. You can always disable it if you don't need it, but there's no reason to make people feel like a child for finding it to be a friendly reminder.
