Andy,
Doug from AI Squared posted the note with the current subject line and there
are a lot of new people on the list who did not have the history of
ZoomReader, so the questions about its usability for a totally blind person
naturally came back up.
And, a few people were wondering if they had ever addressed their promise to
add functionality for blind people, which they haven't and won't unless they
sell enough copies to pay for it, which likely means it won't happen. And,
it clearly does not need to happen since there are other, less expensive
apps that are mainly for OCR that are completely accessible to totally blind
persons, while ZoomReader has OCR as a secondary function.

So, here's hoping the topic will die away like it did when it first came
out.

Richard

This is true, but this was a while back. It's been obvious for well over a
year that the app was designed for persons who have some vision. There's
nothing new here, so I do not understand all the fuss at this time.

Well, I agree with you, Rose. The sender meant it that way. When the app
first came out there was a big rou on the list concerning it's functionality
for totally blind users.
