Hi Jenny, I am not familiar with the smtp settings used by your internet service provider iiNet, however; you will need to turn off the iCloud smtp server as that will only send email for me.com and or icloud.com addresses. If changing your smtp server to use the iiNet server entry works when you are away from home and/or when you are using cellular data rather than your wireless network that is great, if it does not, you will need to contact bigpond and find out if they support authenticated smtp and or secure ssl for sending email from ip addresses outside of their network. I did go to iiNet's web site, support, setting up email, and did find some good information, however; the link which I thought would be the most helpful in guiding you further with this, a link entitled roaming email, turned out to give me a page can not be displayed error. \Good luck, Ed.

Jenny, I'm curious, who's your broadband service provider at home and who's your email provider? Are they the same? If so, your email provider may have their SMTP server set up to only send out emails that originate on their own internal network. Companies do this to keep their SMTP servers from being used for spam. Time Warner used to do this. If so, check with your service provider on how to send emails from your phone. If not, check your SMTP settings and report back.
