Hi Christopher, I think it's very safe to assume that the 4S will go away because of what you said about the 5C and the 30 Pin connector. Except for the 5C having a 4 inch display and Lightning connector it is much more like the 4S than the 5 is since it is rumored to have the a5 processor.
I think it is more than conceivable that there will only be a couple of versions of the 5C and the new 5S in 32 Gb, 64 Gb and 128 Gb. Of course now that it is Sunday afternoon we will all know in less than 48 hours. Speculation is fun of course *smile*.
