Another way to do this is by touching the middle of the screen in TweetList. This has worked most often for me when starting where I have left off before. It doesn't always work, especially when TweetList is in the process of updating my timeline, but in these cases I go away and come back to it some time later. I also did not know the triple tap on the Home tab trick, pretty nifty. Will have to try that sometime.
