Hi Cher,

When you use iCloud, your contacts stay on your computer and are also stored in 
iCloud. However, you won't want to sync contacts both between your computer and 
phone directly and between them and iCloud. If you do, you could end up with 
duplicate contacts. So either sync your computer and phone contacts with 
iCloud, or sync them directly with each other.
