Lori, with iTunes open, have you tried removing your music CD and inserting it again? This should cause the dialog box asking you if you'd like to import it to open. If it doesn't, the CD should be identified in the iTunes sidebar under the Devices section. Put focus on the CD name and press ctrl + F10 and a context menu should open with one of the choices being Import CD.
