Yes, I agree. Reading through this thread I'm just sitting back and actually
waiting to try the app before posting something I know nothing about, but I
will add that I'm especially curious about the following:

Will this thing OCR and read computer screens? Be kinda cool if this would
allow me to troubleshoot in BIOS, when installing drivers which crash audio,
or when screenreader crashes.

Will this thing OCR and read TV screens such as menus?

Will this thing read the buttons on elevators?

Will this read signs on doors--especially the little male figure and figure
wearing a dress placed on doors--so I won't have to ask about bathroom
signs? <Smile>.

Will this quickly OCR the sender of my paper mail to quickly dump the
annoying spam mail?

I wonder if this will OCR a house address number from the curb or close
distance?

I already know paper currency is out of the question for now, but how will
it do identifying credit cards and or debit cards since K1000 and OpenBook
don't give me that much info since the relief surface on the cards make
scanning a bit difficult? <Smile>.

Because customer service often requests such information, I'm wondering if
this will allow me to read serial numbers on electronic equipment such as a
modem, DVR, radio, etc.

Would be cool if this thing could read the little displays on washing
machines, microwaves, stoves, etc.

Kinda curious if this will allow for 2-page scans when scanning a book such
as a novel or textbook. Heck, even a single page scan without allowing
artifacts from second page will do. <Smile>.

Wondering if it will be able to handle a very small 6 point font such as
that found on those annoying, little User manual booklets included in new
hardware.

Also wondering how intelligent it will be in terms of correctly structuring
the page elements in the event there are graphs and charts and alike with
the goal being one of only picking out the text.

Again, just curious. <Smile>.

Joseph the free tech guy!

I haven't yet heard the KNFB reader demo in its entirety.

I have been wanting an app which can pick out only numbers and letters
which it sees. For example, I have used talking goggles in an attempt
to read the display on my CC radio plus. Occasionally it will read the
numbers, but often it will say something like "gray C Crane radio."
Some or all of this may well be a problem with my pointing the camera.
But I wish it were possible to direct an app to read only alpha numerics.
