I fully support Vircom making money and staying in business. You can't sell below cost and stay alive as seen in enron, worldcomm, etc. You don't make up a loss on volume.

So you would say its okay for Bell telephone to quadruple your rates to pay for all the extra idiots they employee
just so they can make a profit ?  No mater how many Aggies it takes to screw in a light bulb the employees
at Bell can't even identify a light bulb.

The greatest way to show your disapproval of anything is to vote with your pocket book.  However, if the vendor's
plan is to run off all the high maintenance,  low/no profit customers the best thing for them to do to increase their
profit is to raise your rates to ridiculous levels.   By doing so all the little high maintenance customers will go away
and the larger ones who take less support will pay it no mater what it costs because they are going to quadruple
their rates to their customers. As an IS you probably do the same thing.

Do you want more $20/month dialup customers that blow up their settings every week and want you to fix it for
free or do you want more of those $100/month business accounts that never call, but sure send their payment
each month ?

The biggest problem Vircom has at the moment ,(other than their software) be it by design or not, is that they do not communicate with their customers.  But maybe its just that I fall into the high maintenance/low profit category.
