In reply to Jed Rothwell's message of Tue, 2 Aug 2022 09:15:54 -0400: Hi, Years ago, I proposed a very simple solution to the problem of recharging pacemaker batteries, on this list:- Use a lossy air core transformer to recharge the battery as required. Sure it wouldn't be efficient, but it would obviate any requirement for surgery, and could be done by simply holding a coil against the chest for a short period. With a little imagination, the same "communications channel" (i.e. the magnetic field), could be used to transfer information as well.
