I agree. Note that with few exceptions, only the very heavy elements fission
upon addition of a neutron. Hence one might expect addition of a single proton
to follow approximately the same pattern. In order to get fission from a
mid-field element like Nickel, one would probably have to add multiple particles
concurrently, e.g. one or more Hydrino molecules.
