Old yes, obsolete no. 030s and below are a lot more compatible with
AOS than 040/060s.  I don't seem to have to run any sort of
patching program to cover shortcomings in my CPU/FPU.

True, faster CPUs, faster operation; up to a point.
As to having the right to complain.  Everybody, always has the
right
to complain about anything.  It's called free speech.  Of course,
you don't have to pay any attention to them.  That's your right.

Except for those 286 users who complain about not being able to run
the latest 3dfx game.  (Personal experience)
Not to mention the businesses with 8MB 486s that I do support work
for, but then again they're not interested in the latest and
greatest games.  The machines that they have still run their
Win3.11 and their DOS applications quite nicely thank you very much
and "we're not going to upgrade until we get our initial investment
back".

I don't really think that there would still be any companies
developing for the amiga, or even still existing, after this long
an
interregnum(?) if amiga owners were really the penny pinchers that
some people make us out to be.
