In Canada, a PPC board (without SCSI) costs over $2000. For that price
I could get a G3 iMac with a USB ZIP drive and a scanner, or a Celeron 333A PC
with scanner, 7 GB hard drive, 15" monitor, 8MB AGP graphics card, CD-Writer,
and SCSI. I know, because I did.
