You're correct, it's not the same. It can be much more difficult,
particularly since they were doing a rewrite of what the port could have
been (adding more features than it had by Amiganizing it). They also have to
work out conflicting times that the coders are available to work on the app
in their free time.
Also, these coders aren't many any money from this project, so who can claim
they lost their shirt if the browser never came out? Only the coders would
be able to say that their investment of development time (a chunk of their
lifespan) was lost. You and I? Pheh. We just carry on with the other
browsers.
Want them to speed up? We can start by doing their homework and paying them.
But that'll never happen due to the legal constraints of the original
source.
Rather than pee on their efforts, we should cheer on these people who are
working on this for the sake of being Amiga users and fans.
