I'm rather disappointed that your argument is to ridicule what age someone
might be. I've run into a lot of Amiga "kids" that have been more "on the
ball" (Boing!-ball, that is) than many of their adult contemporaries.
If I wanted to be petty about it, I could pick apart the long delays between
Voyager, IBrowse, and AWeb releases. How long were these in development
before V1 was released? How long did it take to get to V2, or V3, etc?
Look how long we wait for other worthwhile software like Daytona, etc. Do
you think it's really fair for the aMozillaX coders to meet your deadlines
when no one else does? When you're a coder, crap can, and often does, hit
the fan. Especially when porting code.
I've bought the Amiga Quake, and can tell you that there were some
compromises made to get it out, that I wish they had taken more time with to
incorporate.
The aMozillaX group is trying to make it as feature-laden as possible before
release. Feature-for-feature, it would be a healthy challenge for other apps
like Voyager. If you don't have a competitor, innovation suffers. Look at
Microsoft. AI is gearing up to go for their jugular, with a bigger market
that the PC isn't prepared for.
So, be a tad more generous, as you just might have to take your hat with a
little salt, when it's least expected. This applies to everyone, including
myself, which is why I've been saying why I like Voyager, and where some
holes need patching to make it no less capable than a PC browser, which it
currently is.
