The funny thing about mathematically minded people (and coders I assume
to be) is that the younger the better seems to be true, especially for
theoretical mathematicians. They are generally considered past their
peak at 30 with a few exceptions. (This was either in an interview or
New Scientist article that I heard this)
So all a 14 or 15 year old will lack is practical experience and
mentoring may help there. They will have energy and most likely
innovation because of their age.
William the Conquerer was 21 when he invaded Britain. It probably helped
to have an army with him :-)
