I think you've got a strange idea of what a 68040 runs like.
UAE on a 233MHz MMX pentium runs considerably slow than a 68020.... I can do
some speed tests if you'd like :-)
(Though I can't really be that arsed to disabled the accelerator in my
A1200!!)
I won't even begin the argument about what you can do on a fairly basic
Amiga that you can't do on a PC....
