I.e. fully compatible with anything that works in an OS-friendly way. Clearly the
reason things like DiskSalv and ReOrg don't work is because they have their own
understanding of the filesystems and bypass the OS to do their work...

And as people have stated before, it's not uncommon to get to that state with any of
the more traditional filesystems anyway, so you're certainly no worse off in that
respect.

There's one other caveat though which you might not think of. OK, so it's kind of a
funny one, and it might *seem* obvious.... PFS comes with processor-optimised
versions. I'm not sure how much of a performance improvement you get using the correct
one for your processor, but I certainly wish I hadn't bothered now, because my Amiga
has effectively been unusable since my BlizzardPPC died :-( I didn't do all the
partitions/drives with the 060-optimised version, but there are so many different
partitions (Jaz cartridges etc.) it's a bit of a nightmare to work out, and the only
way to get it to boot up without crashing is to make sure any 060-optimised ones are
disabled in the early-startup!! In practice I'm pretty stuffed anyway, because the
Blizzard dying took out the SCSI interface so I couldn't access the Jaz drive anyway...
