Well, Matt does have a reputation that feeds over into
a few other mailing lists I have been to. : )
However, to be totally fair, I can honestly say that Matt has
always been extremely well mannered to me, and has been
much more than willing to help and give excellent suggestions.
I, personally, value his ideas and comments, and have used
his ideas many times... and they work. He does seem to know
his way around an Amiga, and that is all I give a dang about
here. We can't always expect everything to be "goodness and
light", IYGWIM.
I always believe we Amigan's are a rather daft lot, and
it always takes all kinds to make up this world. I have
had people get riled over what I have said, and often it
has taken me aback somewhat when others don't take my
comments/meanings with a large grain of salt... ; )
To be honest, from a personal angle, I am usually answering
all my email with a huge smile on my face no matter what
sh*t I type. Personally, I really seldom take what people
say online too seriously.... only once have I gone out of my
way to put a person's name/emai-address into a filter and
had YAM delete any mail from them before I see it. Matt is
a pussycat compared to a tonne of real idiots out there!!!!!
So, in spite of what he says, take his ideas for what they
are beating around the bush to say. However, I think Hotmail
sucks the Big One a lot of the time, but its filtering
abilities do make it easy to put the right things where you
want them. I am still fighting with YAM in that area.
Now, if Voyager ever adds a full-scale emailer to its features,
I hope it deals with filtering more effectively than anything
I have used up to date!
