Who told you it was nearing a release date? If it was not Stefan Stuntz, then it was not true. If it was Stefan Stuntz, please note that he belongs to an alien race that refuse to acknowledge even the concept of time ;) > AND, if so, what are its features/improvements A few speedups, improved CGX support, smooth scrolling virtgroups, umm.. configurable look help bubbles.. a new button to move through pubscreens on the window border.. some neat graphical tricks which make no difference whatsoever.. configurable popup menu look.. some improvements which applications will have to take advantage of them.. extra functionality for debugging applications.. nicer event handlers.. minor bugfixes.. > V, or any other program that uses MUI3.8, going to take > advantage of its development. Most programs just go a tiny bit faster if you have a graphics card, and marginally faster if you have AGA. The whole thing is a little more slick (double buffering, smoothed operations). V does support one new feature, which is smoothscrolling virtgroups (effectively anything that has a scrollbar on it, like V's browser window, can have a slow-braking scroll put onto it, just like listviews do now) If there are any other prudent features V could use, it will use them. There is a huge misconception out there that MUI 4 is some kind of magical wonderful so-much-better product that has some really remarkable new features. It is not. MUI 3.8 is about as perfect as a GUI system could ever be, and MUI 4.0 just puts a glac cherry on top. If you want to see MUI 4.0 in action, run MorphOS and download the MUI PPC previews. I challenge you to spot the difference between an app running under MUI 3.8 and under 3.9/4.0. > Kind of off topic, but it could affect V. It doesn't really.. -- Matt _____________________________________________________________________ Voyager Mailing List - http://v3.vapor.com/ Voyager FAQ....: http://faq.vapor.com/voyager/ Listserver Help: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?Subject=HELP Unsubscribe....: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?Subject=UNSUBSCRIBE
