This is pretty much what MUI 4 is - actual new functionality is
thin on the ground - it's mostly improvements to the standard
functions that are available. Certain values in certain objects
can now be set() instead of just get() for reference.. this isn't a
massive deal.

That is in fact MUI's whole problem.

Writing a GUI is a complex process: you need to know what you're
doing. MUI's strength is that it gives programmers the tools they
need to get the GUI out of the way, and it gives GUI designers the
tools they need to quickly generate the GUI they really want.

But if you're only one or neither, you're going to end up with an
ugly and/or useless app at the end of it, whatever toolkit you use.

MUI can't magically stop people from making user interface hall
of shame candidates ;)

I'd rather have a 450MHz 68060 with an 833MHz G4 running most
