Then I'd have a question to you Thomas: if that's the goal, shouldn't the jobs
you run on Jenkins (for CentOS) build VPP using the DPDK_SHARED mode?

Anway, as previously mentioned, for openSUSE I followed the steps not to install
the packaged DPDK so I think we can keep things as they are...
