What about 1.3.0? Is it just a renamed 1.2.0 as I thought it was?

I will contribute, but for the time being am not able to do the maintaining
part :(
What about the patches someone wrote about? Where are they?
I think we need:
a maintainer for the unofficial release who collected the contributions and
asks people for doing the really hard work (documentation and so on)
someone to help Stewart with the mailing list
another helping with the website
a FAQ maintainer was there -- is he still involved?
Stewart making his claim :-))
many, many others contributing good code and ideas!
