Pretty mad I can tell you :-) But that was Steve vs Skully politics. But I
still wish my 60Gb iPod had HW recognition or some type of keyboard because
it's too hard to find a particular song when there are 12,000 on it. Just
the first 3 letters would be a great help, like in iTunes. <end rant>

I wouldn't worry about that. Firewire/ iLink will be here for another 4
years by which time your drive will be outdated. You *need* it for vidcams.
A friend bought the latest JVC tapeless vidcam (mini h/disk) which only has
USB2 and it's a royal pain to transfer footage to computer. Even then you
can't control it from video editing software (no FF or RW or play).
