Rainbow curser forever when I try to put it to sleep. This is the
common one. Doesn't happen all the time. I can fix permissions, do a
restart, then put computer to sleep.
Rainbow curser forever when I'm using a button in an application
(Word and EyeTV).
No access to Finder.
Off button works!

Hi, I've been having persistent crashes since 10.4(average one per

What do you mean by "crashes"? E.g.:
1/ Grey screen ("you must reboot now"), a.k.a. kernel panic.
2/ An application programme quits unexpectedly.
3/ You get stuck with the rainbow cursor forever.
4/ The keyboard and mouse stop responding.
5/ Other.
