Sounds like a waste of time doing a full reinstall then. I'll take a look into known G5 issues after my exams. Warranty will cover any hardware problems but very annoying having to wait for ages without your computer (I just bought World of Warcraft for when I've finished exams and looking forward to playing it). I've noticed that the problem also presents its-self when I try to minimise a Warcraft 3 window (which would probably result in a change of resolutions. Also if you tell your machine to go to sleep and leave it for hours it eventually will do so.

I'll let you know what I find out

Hmm. This doesn't sound good.

I'm using a Logitech mouse, but have also had the same problems using the new Apple one button mouse.

Daniel has done a full reinstall of this one when he put in a bigger HD.

Troubled me from 10.3.8 all the way up to 10.4.1. The only peripheral I'm using is my Logitech MX310 mouse. I'm not sure that the fix permissions has any effect since leaving restarting the computer seems to temporarily fix the problem.

I too did an archive install for Tiger. I was going to try a full clean install before thinking about other possible problems but really don't have time until I'm on my study break from uni.

Rainbow curser forever when I try to put it to sleep. This is the common one. Doesn't happen all the time. I can fix permissions, do a restart, then put computer to sleep.
