Thank you Paul for the eBay 'heads up', I had to go the Apple way, Nextbyte Nedlands had one in stock and as I need my Mac for work Monday, with a battery, after 6 weeks off work!
I wish there had been some warning in place as my battery applications reported that it was healthy, with warning I would have had time to organise a spare. Well others now now about this issue and that the trackpad button not clicking issue is the symptom for a dud battery! No problems at all so far and it was about $50 cheaper than buying from Apple. Looks like they're even cheaper now.
