Yeah this has been a problem for a number of people. Try increasing the timeout setting. The default is 120 seconds (2 mins), so maybe try double that.
If that doesn't work, enable the debug output option in the iViewFox settings and then when it stalls with the large video, copy the output from the terminal and either email it to me or post it to the mailing list.
