Chris It is a long time since I used Excel, with which I actually was relatively sound in (for "basic stuff") - however, if you were trying to e.g. run a column of numbers such as 2, then 4, then 6, then 8, once you have the 2,4,6 typed in, then ran your cursor down the row, highlighting as you went, I think the sequence would then fill itself in as far as you dragged the cursor down.
