Our of curiosity did you find it fails if you remove the
onmouseover?

Anne's issue was a bit different I think because she had a fairly
normal link not a fancy javascript powered tree control (at least,
based on the classname 'treenode' I'm presuming it's a tree control)
In her case the link was set to open in a new window, which was
prevented by multiple layers of popup blockers.
