As it happens, we're using jsdomenu in our current project, not for navigation, but to provide a popup list of choices for input fields(kinda like a popup Select). Quite stable and functional, and released under GNU. Recommended.
[NOTE: Scripting must be turned on, unlike most of the CSS/list solutions.
