<grin /> Trying to get Apache set up the way I wanted on OS X 10.2 was probably my most frustrating experience ever with a web server. Give me IIS any day. Heck, I'd even prefer working straight on any version of Linux; at least the documentation would be available and probably a lot more accurate. Plus I would not have been told I needed the $1,000 server OS version. I prevailed and eventually was able to set it up how I wanted spite of it with help from O'Reilly's Missing Manual, Google and way too much time.
Same changes in IIS would have been 5 minutes. Apache on a different platform than only slightly longer but only because I'm not as familiar with the httpd.conf as I am with the IIS interface.
